Ski touring - the nature experience
Ascent and descent are equally enjoyable when ski touring. The Sölktäler are known for their long, scenically impressive tours into the alpine winter world. There are various routes to choose from, but it is important to make sure you choose designated routes in order to preserve the retreats that are essential for the survival of the wildlife that abounds in the nature park.

Snowshoeing - gradually finding peace and quiet
When snowshoeing, peace and tranquillity come about step by step as if by magic. But there is not much more beautiful than hiking through the deep snow-covered forest, enjoying the silence and breathing in the clear air. That is pure enjoyment. We recommend hikes to the Schönwetterhütte or also to the Sölkpass, which, by the way, is not passable by car in winter.

Our recommendations:

The Denneck, the Hornfeldspitz and the Gumpeneck are wonderful panoramic peaks with unforgettably beautiful descents for experienced skiers. The Krautwasch is also very interesting - an insider tip among ski tourers.

Cross-country skiing - glide into well-being
Cross-country skiing is a very beneficial sporting balance. The gentle movement in the midst of the wintry natural landscape flatters body and soul in equal measure. A classic cross-country trail leads directly from the holiday home through a wonderful winter idyll, the trail extends from St. Nikolai to Mössna.

Winter hiking - the magic of the moment
A walk in the fresh winter air, the crunching of the snow and in between always marvelling at how beautiful the winter landscape can be in its whiteness. We recommend, for example, the groomed paths from St. Nikolai to the Bräualm. The forest with thick snow bonnets, glittering crystals and shiny icicles - the winter world is truly enchanting.

Skiing with starting point Großsölk
The Schladming-Dachstein region has famous ski mountains to offer, such as the Planai, Hochwurzen, Hauser Kaibling, Reiteralm and also the Dachstein. In just a few minutes by car you can reach the entrance to the 4-mountain ski area. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, we recommend the Stockerlift in Mössna in the Großsölk. Ideal for children and beginners, who can take their turns here in a relaxed manner and use the lift and piste at reasonable prices.
